diva: (dē’və) from It. diva “goddess, fine lady,” from L. diva “goddess,” fem. of divus “divine (one).”

TweetDivas was conceived in early 2008 by Lisa Creech Bledsoe (@glowbird) and Diane Aull (@torka) as a way of bringing together and empowering Women Who Twitter. 

Lisa Sullivan (http://www.twitter.com/lisasullivan) has now taken the reigns having spearheaded the highly successful “Triangle  Ladies Who Tweet” organization in the fall of 2009.  Her aim has always been to bring together the women of the Triangle area while giving back to a community organization at the same time.
